Marsha (Age 75)

I am a 75 year old woman living alone in my 2-story home.  I plan to live here, alone with my pets, for many more years.  But I can only do this as long as I maintain my mobility and ability.

10 years ago I thought it would be prudent to prepare for the ravages of aging, based on what I had witnessed my 2 grandmothers endure.  I was concerned about losing my independence assuming that my body’s ability to move would rapidly decline, as theirs did.    So I moved from my 2 story home to a 1 story home in a  senior citizen community.  However, 2 years ago I moved back to my 2 story home because, while aging isn’t without its complications, I realized I wasn’t like my senior citizen neighbors nor my 2 grandmothers.  I didn’t have to accept my body’s natural decline and limitations as long as I kept my body in motion.  I have kept my body in motion thanks to Carrie.   She has modified my movements and lifts to accommodate what my body can and can't do and I get pain free, positive results.    I can  still manage the stairs.    I can still travel alone and with younger friends.  I can still do Disneyland all day with a  6-year-old grandchild. I can still snorkel for hours in Maui. I am not a burden to my family and my daughter has thanked me.  I am not worried about losing my independence and the life I have chosen and love because Carrie has taught me how to keep my body out of pain and in motion.  I love that she is easily accessible and I can schedule a virtual session if something comes up that I need to solve for.  I know she will listen to me and take me seriously and that we will work together to come up with simple and do-able solutions that I can work with to feel good and keep doing all the things I love.  I can’t recommend her services enough!
